Why are some people content to be ignoramuses
while others strive for more? What's the difference? Is
it innate? Learned? Was there something in the well water?
Was baby dropped on the head? Please expound Mr Hunkity.
Dan D.
Dear Dan D.,
The desire to learn is most certainly an innate quality.
Those who aren't born with this quality will grow up
to be ignoramuses. It is not their fault. Contributing
to this problem is the fact that many ignoramuses grow
up to build wells and have babies. They tend not to regulate
the well water, and often drop their babies on their
heads, leading to even larger numbers of ignoramuses.
Luckily, nature is a system of checks and balances. To
balance out the problem of overpopulation of ignoramuses,
people like myself are born, who learn more than the
average person and are able to retain much more knowledge.
Since I am also blessed with a big heart, I have set
out to use my knowledge for good, by answering questions
posed to me by my colleagues and by those less fortunate
than myself.
Hope this helps,
Mr. Studlyhunk
